(Formerly Abbey Burton Clay Shooting) The Ling Shooting School tuition team is made up of male and female instructors. Our mission is to deliver expert advice to all ages and abilities in a safe and welcoming environment.Together we have decades of experience in the clay shooting world both nationally and internationally, this gives us a unique insight into getting the most out of each individual and their abilities. Each lesson is tailored to suit the individual with recommendations and follow-up advice the ensure you get hitting those targets and get most from each session at the Ling Clay Shooting School
Abbey Ling
Head Female Coach Abbey Ling is a 5 time British Champion, World cup & Commonwealth Medalist. She is very welcoming makes you feel at ease and gives great instruction and coaching to the individuals needs and improvement, having over 10 years of international GB competition experience & coaching.
She has knowledge in all areas of the sport from getting you started with correct amount of lesson , gun purchase, gun fitting, clothing & accessories to advanced teachings on getting that mental edge.
Edward Ling
3 time Olympian, competed in ATHENS 2004, LONDON 2012, RIO 2016. Many years of experience on the international circuit and was introduced to the sport by his father & GB Coach Steve Ling. Edward is a part of the world class programme and has won many accolades to his name. A few of these titles include world and European championships and currently holds the world record of 200 clays out of 200, alongside many other trophies that he has in his awards room. He enjoys passing on his experience to the young and up and coming shooters as a great role model for our sport.
Steve Ling
GB international coach and specifies in the Olympic disciplines, has great knowledge on gun fitting and technicalities of gun mount and position. Great knowledge & advice on buying or upgrading your Gun. Steve has won many international medals overseas including world and Europeans championships team medals and has been competing and shooting for many years. he has helped coach his son Edward Ling to 3 time Olympics success and has another son Theo Ling who is up and coming in the junior GB team already.
Brian Bland
Brian is delighted to be a member of the Ling Shooting Team offering a wide range of shooting activities including Clay, Laser Clay, Rifle shooting and also Archery. These activities are available at the Shooting School and also at a suitable alternative venue of your choice. With more than 30 years of experience Brian has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in providing for the corporate sector; larger groups, Stag, Hen and Birthday parties and Weddings.
Michael Hill
BASC coach for 17 years ran my own business for 43 years in retail. Started shooting with a Ward and son hammer gun at the age of fourteen which belonged to my grandfather, which I still own. Always interested in outdoor sports. Love game shooting and of course clay shooting. Vice-chairman of our clay club at Cannington which I joined in 1972. Like meeting new clients at ling shooting school very light-hearted, very much a people person.
